Analogy

Love-chili
Love is like a chili as chili is hot and spicy. This is just like the  fervent showing by the lovers toward each other.

Man and woman-mortal and pestle
Man and woman is like mortal and pestle. Mortal and pestle need to work together to produce out something which is just like man and woman need to work together to give birth a child.

Class Exercise 2

In this class, we need to choose two animals and combine them to create a new species.

In this class, we have been given a task. We were given two sections of words as shown as below:-

Choose three pairs of numbers. Then match the words according to the numbers.

--92 >>> Leaf rain

Make a sentence for each pair of words.

a) The mountain flies on the sky.

b) It is an ice sculpture of a tree root.

c) The shape of the rain is like the leaf.

Juxtaposition

Juxtaposition means the compare or contrast between two variables which have some similarities or connections  side by side. They can be situation, theme, object or text. Juxtaposition can let people generate idea or understand a things better by compare them with other things. There is another type of juxtaposition which is random juxtaposition. Random juxtaposition is randomly selecting two variables to be compared or contrasted. Random juxtaposition can help us to think creatively because we can think many possibilities when we try to think of a connection between two totally different things. These are what I have understand from the class.

Class Exercise

The picture below is a game that help us to think out of box. I choose three random words from the mind map given by the lecturer and start to think of the usage of mortar and pestle.

Associated MInd Map

Associated mind map is a mind map that form by random words which have little connection to the previous word. Associated mind map help us to think out of box. This is very good for generating creative idea. It is easy to do associated mind map because we just need to think a word that have connection to the previous word. The title acts as a start point for us to generate our idea. This is my point of view for the associated mind map lesson.

Method of Thinking (Mind Map)

The Meaning of Mind Map
Mind map is a tool for generating ideas and brainstorming by using keywords of the main title. Its components is basically keywords, boxes and arrows. By using mind map, we can easily analyse the title, take down notes, do research and generate new ideas or solutions for certain things.
There are two types of mind maps which are logical mind map and associated mind map.Logical mind map is directly connect to the stereotype whereas associated mind map is use to generate random words and usually let people think out of box.
To do research or take notes, logical mind map is most suitable to be used. We can easily understand the mind map and get more information from the mind map without reading hundred or thousand of words which make people fall a sleep when the subject is very boring.
The mind map help people to solve many problems. It is an effective and fast method. Use it wisely can make our lives easier.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention

As I learn from the class, novelty is the quality of performing new things or thoughts. There has two types of novelty which are objective and subjective. The artists and the writers are some good example to bring out the meaning of novelty as they always think and create new things to the world.
Creativity is the ability of create new things and new thoughts. I have mention this in the last post.
Innovation means make a new things out of an old things or improve the function of an old things. For example, a guy in Taiwan has use the biscuits steel box to make a musical instrument.
Invention is to create things which is never exist in the world. It is start from the a human brain till the things being created out. Thomas Edison has created many things and the most famous evidence is the light we are using now. Without his effort of keep on trying, we may still using the fire to brighten out night.
For my conclusion, human will not stop thinking until the day they die so new things will appear nonstop too. This is the nature of human to do their best to live a comfortable and easy lives.

What Is Creative?

From my point of view, creative is a way of old things being change or the creation of new things for many kinds of functions. Some can make our lives become easier and some can bring entertainment to us. Creative is also a way of making things become interesting so that they can attract people's vision. People with creativity always have a successful career in their lives as they know how to make their product attractive. Everyone can be creative if they pay more attention in the things around them.
